Linx Technologies has announced the ANT-W63WS3-SMA blade-style antenna for Wi-Fi 6 and 6 GHz Wi-Fi 6E applications. The “W63WS3” antenna expands Linx’s tri-band 2.4 GHz/5 GHz/6 GHz offering following the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) vote and approval of the 6 GHz spectrum for Wi-Fi WLAN applications and launch of the Linx ANT-W63-FPC-UFL-100 antenna in April.
Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E are the Wi-Fi Alliance terms for IEEE 802.11ax standard uses in the 2.4 GHz/5 GHz, and 6 GHz frequency ranges, respectively. The Linx W63WS3 supports all IEEE 802.11ax frequency bands in a connector-mount hinged-blade antenna for Internet of Things (IoT) and Industrial applications. The complete frequency range support of the W63WS3 antenna makes it forward-compatible for dual-band Wi-Fi devices that do not yet support the new 6 GHz band, and equally useful for tri-band Wi-Fi solutions across all IEEE 802.11ax and U-NII frequency bands.
The new W63WS3 antenna (ANT-W63WS3-SMA) is available today from Linx Technologies’ distributor and manufacturer representative networks.
