CUI’s Power Group has announced the addition of a new 3 W isolated DC-DC converter series to its portfolio of low power DC-DC converters. The PQME3 series housed in a compact, industry standard 14 pin surface mount package measuring 0.76 x 0.71 x 0.40 in (19.20 x 18.10 x 10.16 mm), provides a rugged, low power solution for a variety of industrial, test and measurement, and telecommunication applications, thanks to its encapsulated design.
Ideal for converting and isolating fluctuating dc voltages, the 3 W series features 4:1 input ratio ranges of 9 to 36 Vdc and 18 to 75 Vdc, single regulated outputs of 3.3, 5, 9, 12, 15, and 24 Vdc, remote on/off control, and 1500 Vdc input to output isolation. For devices where energy consumption is a concern, the PQME3 series offers efficiency up to 84% and no-load power draw less than 0.1 W. Operating temperatures range from -40 up to +71°C at full load, derating to 60% load at +85°C, making the low power modules suitable for harsh environments.
The 3 W isolated dc-dc converters also meet CISPR22/EN55022 Class B limits for conducted and radiated emissions, while carrying over current and short circuit protections as well as a minimum MTBF of 1,000,000 hours at +25°C ambient, calculated per MIL-HDBK-217F. The PQME3 series is available immediately with prices starting at $10.76 per unit at 200 pieces through distribution.

CUI recently added four low-power, open-frame AC-DC power supply series to its VOF product family. The VOF‑6B, VOF‑10B, VOF‑15B, and VOF‑20B series are 6-, 10-, 15-, and 20-W power additions to CUI’s general-purpose AC-DC power supply portfolio that currently ranges from 6 to 300 W. Well suited for space-constrained, low-power ITE, industrial, and consumer applications, the new models are housed in compact, board-mount packages measuring as small as 1.913″ × 0.917″ × 0.638″ (48.6 × 23.3 × 16.2 mm). They feature industry-standard pinouts, 4-kVAC isolation, and no-load power consumption less than 100 mW.
The 6-to-20-W modules feature a wide universal input voltage range of 85 to 264 VAC with single output voltages of 5, 9, 12, 15, 24, and 48 VDC, depending on the series. Operating temperatures at full load range from –25° to 50°C, derating to 50% load at 70°C. All of the models carry UL/cUL and TUV 60950-1 safety certifications and meet EN 55032 Class B and FCC Class B limits for radiated emissions. Protections for short circuit, over current, and over voltage come standard. The series also carry a minimum MTBF of 300,000 h at 115 VAC at 25°C ambient, calculated per MIL‑HDBK‑217F.

CUI’s Components Group recently expanded its micro buzzer product line. Housed in surface-mount packages as small as 4 mm × 4 mm, the three new models—CMT 4023S SMT, CMT 5023S SMT, and CPT 9019S SMT—are well suited for a wide variety of portable electronic systems.
The CMT 4023S SMT and CMT 5023S SMT magnetic transducer buzzers are 4 mm × 4 mm and 5 mm × 5 mm, respectively. They have a rated voltage of 3 V and a rated frequency of 4 kHz.
The 9 mm × 9 mm CPT 9019S SMT features piezoelectric technology and a profile depth of 1.9 mm. The series delivers a maximum peak-to-peak voltage of 25 V, a rated frequency of 4 kHz, and an SPL of 65 dB. Its operating temperature range is –30°C to 70°C.
The CMT 4023S SMT, CMT 5023S SMT, and CPT 9019S SMT are externally driven and suitable for use in designs requiring reflow solder assembly for high-volume production. They are available immediately with prices starting at $1.08 per unit in 1,000-piece quantities.
