Ranging from 15 Watts to 320 Watts, the latest addition to the XP Power lineup is the LCW series power supplies. This wide range series is meant for embedded applications and more. The LCW series is made up of 9 models of regulated output encased power supplies. The units were designed with embedded electronics, technologies, and equipment needing household approval, in mind.
The models are laid out in a series LCW15, LCW25, LCW35, LCW50, LCW75, LCW100, LCW150, LCW200, and LCW320. The power supplies all meet EN 55032 Class B conducted and radiated emissions. This allows for lower-cost integration, and once installed, the units complete the safety protocol with an integrated connector cover.
The input voltage range is 85 to 305VAC satisfying global regulatory requirements with nominal inputs from 100 to 277VAC. The 150W, 200W, and 320W have an active PFC. The variety of applicable uses for the LCW series is smart home or office systems, auxiliary power, security systems, lighting, ticketing, and vending machines, to name a few.
The models offer a wide range of operating temperatures, from -30°C to +70°C at +50°C derating begins and is linear to 60% at +70°C. The units are standard cooling for convection up to 200W. The 320W highest-rated power supply has a temperature-controlled integrated fan, further reducing acoustic noise levels.
With both a low profile and compact dimensions all the units help with design features like tight spaces and smaller devices used in household smart homes. Low standby power consumption is less than 0.3W and output short circuit protection is in place, as well as over-current and over-voltage protection.
Input to output isolation is 400VAC, input to ground isolation is 2000VAC, and output to ground is 500VAC. Safety certification for all the models is UL/EN 62368-1 with the LCW35/50/75/100 and 150 being certified for EN 60335. This allows for home automation and any household or domestic approval that might be necessary. The units operate up to 5000m altitude, offering a global reach to the uses of the power supplies.
