Traco Power has launched its TPI 180 and TPP 180 open frame and encased encapsulated power supplies for industrial and medical applications. The units offer the latest reinforced double I/O isolation system, following the latest medical safety standards certifications (IEC/EN/ES 60601-1 3rd edition, 2xMOPP). There is an open frame and encased version for each model, the TPI 180 and TPP 180.
The leakage current is below 300µA, making the power supplies suitable for body floating applications. Efficiency can be up to 94%, which fosters a high power density and a small design.
The units operate from -40°C to 85°C with derating happening at 50°C and above. In natural convection environments, the TPI 180 and TPP 180 can deliver 150 Watt. With forced-air cooling, the delivery in power rises to 180 Watt.
The power supplies can deliver up to 220 Watt peak power for 5 seconds. The EMC is dedicated to its uses in the industrial and medical fields.
- These power supplies come in compact 3” x 2” or 3.6” x 2.44” packages
- I/O isolation 3000 VAC, with a rating for 250 VAC working voltage
- Risk management process ISO 14971 with the risk file
- Acceptance criteria for electronic assemblies IPC A 610 Level 3
- Active power factor correction >0.9
- Operates up to 5000m altitude
The compact size and design allow for space-conscious uses as well as for the more demanding power and safety needs of industrial and medical devices. The TPI 180 and TPP 180 come with up to 5-year manufacturer warranty.
