Technologic Systems introduces the TS-7970 an industrial single-board computer to its lineup. Technologic Systems recently introduced a new single-board computer for industrial applications based on an i.MX6 NXP CPU.
The TS-7970 is running on an NXP i.MX6 CPU based on an ARM Cortex A9 core. The company has claimed the system can be deployed across a wide range of applications. The focus of the design is on cost savings and robust industrial development.
This SBC is also applicable for general purpose, high-end, use cases in smart devices, automobile entertainment units, medical devices, enterprise-class intelligent control, and plant automation.
The TS-7970 has a low power consumption of only 3 watts (typical) and is a fanless operation system. That is over a temperature range of -40 to +85℃. It offers 4GB eMMC and an additional up to 2GB RAM, but along with that, there is an mSATA socket for upgrades.
As far as I/Os there is a Gigabit Ethernet, USB Host, USB Device, RS-232, Serial/COM ports, RS-485 Serial Port, SPI Bus, I2C, Modbus, CAN, WIFI 80-2.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0+ EDR. There is also an integrated HDMI and audio ports, for those abundant multimedia features.
