Sintron Develops a Line of Edge AI GPU Gateways for IoT

Written by Stephen Vicinanza

Sintron develops a line of edge AI GPU gateways for IoT. Sintron Corp, has now launched a line of gateways specifically for the edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) Internet of Things (IoT) deployment.

Computing at the edge is the process of making data storage and computation processes more accessible to users. The process takes place on a local device, which could include an IoT device, a computer, or a dedicated edge server.

It is different from computing in the cloud because edge computing is unaffected by bandwidth restrictions and latency issues, allowing for much better performance.

In edge AI, there is a combination of edge computing and AI, where AI algorithms are running on local devices that have edge computing capabilities. The real benefit of edge AI is the ability to compute in real time because edge AI does not require a connection to other systems.

In AI, there is Machine Learning (ML), and with ML comes Deep Learning (DL) a more advanced and complex form of ML.

Sintron has developed an edge AI GPU line of products that can process deep learning and support end-to-end deep learning solutions. The Sintron Edge AI GPU gateways are developed to assist Edge Computing and AI Computer systems in connecting a data source from Cloud or Data Centers, performing basic classifications, alerting administration, buffering, optimizing, and detecting objects.

They feature real-time data processing and data caching. They also support the acceleration of Machine to Machine communication, and this allows communication through registering and tracking material at any time through machines, sensors, and controllers.

The platform is implemented through a number of applications, such as machine learning, industrial automation, autonomous vehicles, sustainable energy engineering, and computer vision. Many other solutions that require significant computing power, and maintain a substantial level of mobility.

Key features of those units that are shipping at this time.
