Sierra is offering an LPWA module with Multi-mode LTE-M, NB-IoT, and GNSS networks. Sierra Wireless HL7800 LPWA module is claiming best-in-class power performance in multi-modes. The module is designed for Cat-M1/NB1 worldwide networks while being completely compliant with the 3GPP Release 13.

The module provides low-bandwidth IoT applications with extended reach beyond conventional cellular while offering the benefits of low-cost and high-level power technology. The units are suitable for asset tracking, industrial equipment monitoring, consumer wearable devices, healthcare applications, smart city deployments, and agricultural monitoring devices.

These modules are compact CF3 design that allows the module to be used with future advances in technologies. The modules are ready to connect using the Smart Connectivity platform at Sierra Wireless. This access readiness reduces the cost of ownership, offers an end-to-end security system, simplify operations by providing a single point of management and accountability platform.

It is Firmware over-the-air ready, with upgrades to set up a future-proof scenario for clients. The modules are set up with AirVantage for data collection and remote with cloud services. Additionally, there is the ultra-low power mode, for excellent power performance to extend battery life from 5X-10X.

The embedded stack is easy to use over the internet. It supports a robust protocol set, which includes TCP, TLS, DTLS, and HTTP/S.

The system modules can be used for worldwide coverage all on a single module. That includes industry and mobile network certifications to help reach the marketplace faster.
