Sensirion air quality sensors are RESET Air Standard accredited. Just recently Sensirion has now harmonized with the REST Air Standard the company has reported. The move simplifies the accreditation process for indoor air quality monitors. This allows customers to comply with the RESET standards and also maintain accurate air quality monitoring.
The company has always maintained that air quality, especially indoor air quality impacts the health, well-being, productivity, and overall quality of life, of those in commercial and residential buildings.
The RESET Air Standard provides a framework for ensuring the creation of healthier and more sustainable air quality when building environments. It is considered vital, and RESET agrees, that to effectively resolve air quality issues you must be able to measure the quality of air.
The RESET Air Standard focuses on data quality and transparency. This promotes continuous monitoring and data collection via the standardization of the processes and thus drives awareness, and visibility and offers effective solutions for indoor air quality challenges.
The five environmental parameters that RESET requires to be real-time monitored to obtain certification are as follows:
- CO2
- Particulate matter (PM 2.5)
- Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC)
- relative Humidity (RH)
- Temperature.
Sensirion meets all five of the RESET requirements with two sensors. The environmental sensor node SEN54 and a CO2 sensor SCD41. Along with these two sensors, there is an application note, to assist customers with implementing the VOC feature in accordance with RESET and WELL (IWBI) requirements.

Of this new partnership RESET president Stanton Wong said “RESET welcomes Sensirion’s harmonization of their air quality sensors with our standard and we fully support their transparency on limitations and processing of the VOC output signal.”
Sensirion’s Business Development Manager, Marco Gysel, said of the cooperative, “We are delighted to partner with RESET in creating meaningful standards around indoor air quality that enhance people’s health and cognitive performance. The ability to measure all five parameters with only two sensors facilitates our customers’ compliance with RESET.”
