Pixus Technologies, a provider of embedded computing and chassis solutions, has released a new SOSA aligned Tier 3 3U OpenVPX chassis manager.
Pixus has offered a mezzanine-based version of the chassis manager since 2023, the SHM300-00, that resides underneath the backplane saving a slot of space. Some customers have the extra space to use a slot and/or are familiar with the VITA 48.2 conduction-cooled form factor. Therefore, the 3U slot pluggable version, the SHM300-20 was created. They both utilize the same 100% USA-based software and firmware.
The SHM300 line of chassis managers are Tier 3 and VITA 46.11 compliant. It is also aligned to the SOSA® Technical Standard and Hardware Management Card (HMC) specifications. Various versions of the SHM300 have been fully deployed in key US defense programs.
Pixus develops OpenVPX and other VITA-based backplane, enclosure, and chassis manager solutions. The company also provides customized and specialty designs of OpenVPX products as well as various ruggedized solutions.
