Monnit Alta grabs the award from IoT Evolution World 2023. The Monnit Alta Advanced Vibration Meter received the award in April, as an outstanding predictive monitoring system.
The Alta Advanced Vibration Meter is designed to produce predictive analytics to avoid damaging downtime. The developers worked to have a meter that could predict maintenance and optimize performance over systems, equipment, and machinery.
The meter uses an accelerometer to monitor vibration acceleration, velocity displacement, acceleration peak, frequency, and crest factor on three axes.
The meter additionally senses and reports the duty cycle (how much of the report interval that vibration was present) and temperature.
“The solutions selected for the Industrial IoT Product of the Year Awards represent the diverse range of innovation driving the multi-billion dollar IoT market today. It is my honor to congratulate Monnit for their innovative work and superior contribution to the rapidly evolving IoT industry,” said Moe Nagle, Senior Editor for IoT Evolution World.
The meter features a configurable frequency measurement range, from 0.4Hz to 4,200Hz (24RPM to 252,000RPM). Within those ranges the meter can capture a wide spectrum of vibration. From something as subtle as a bridge swaying and seismic impacts on buildings, to identifying high RPM abnormalities in machinery to tracking baseline deviations in production equipment.
