Ibase Introduces Embedded Boards for 4K Immersive Displays

Written by Stephen Vicinanza

In June of this year, Ibase released a family of embedded boards focusing on 4K immersive displays. The system is powered by an AMD Ryzen Embedded V2000 processor intended for the digital signage industry, according to a statement.

Ibase is calling the system CMI211-989 and it houses Ibase’s MI989 Mini-ITX motherboard supporting up to four independent 4K displays to create 3D experiences, in the factory, retail, gaming, and automation applications.

The displays are supported via DP 1.4 ports. The dimensions 269mm x 193mm x 31.5mm offer a wide variety of I/O connectivity, expansion capabilities, and storage and support 4X COM, 3X USB3.1, 2X USB2.0, a 2.5” drive bay, and a PCIe x16 slot for expansion riser cards.

The Ryzen Embedded V2000 is based on the Zen 2 x86 core architecture, with an advanced 7nm manufacturing process. The system uses an AMD Ryzen Embedded V2748/V2718 CPU with Radeon Graphics which enables 25% more PCIe lanes and also delivers 40% better graphics performance than previous generations of the SoC.

In the CMI211 family of systems are –

  • CMI211
    • -999
    • 992VF – 7820
    • 991
    • 990
    • 989

Other models in this family are based on the 7th generation Intel Core i7 – 7820EQ Processors and the 6th generation Intel Core i7/i5/i3/ Pentium/Celeron desktop and mobile processors.
