After a year-long relationship, ending with a market feasibility study by HSC, the partnership between HSC and Firedome was confirmed. The feasibility study was used to determine the market demand in the smart device vendors in Japan and elsewhere, to embed Firedome’s dedicated IoT security solution in their devices. The results were very encouraging and opened the door to a more robust partnership between HSC and Firedome.
Firedome provides a security platform for IoT devices, which detects and then prevents cyber threats and infiltrating attacks from outside the ecosystem. The study showed the manufacturers would initialize projects to address IoT security and increase reliability and protect their brand’s reputation.
The security platform is the first of its kind. The platform is a lightweight agent design, that does not interfere with user experience while providing 24/7 monitoring to complete an ongoing security cycle.
HSC has come out with a strong statement of support for Firedome’s “superior product and excellent technical support” siting expertise and quality of their IoT security platform. Firedome is providing support through hands-on workshops, designed to teach leading manufacturers how to embed the security solution into their devices. The companies both agree, that IoT security is a major need and will only grow broader with the explosive growth across the markets, in Japan, and globally.
The launch of the HSC’s named Security Solution for IoT Devices happened at the Information Security EXPO on April 6 to 8, 2022.
