Written by Stephen Vicinanza

In its continuing efforts to expand an already outstanding home audio and networking portfolio, Arylic released its latest networking DIY board, the Up2Stream HD DAC. The board brings a high-quality multiroom wireless audio preamplifier to the DIY community. The Up2Stream supports Airplay 2, aptX HD, Spotify Connect, and Tidal Connect, using ESS9038Q2M DAC for up to 24-bit/192kHz High Res Audio.

The company is a reliable source for audio electronics design, engineering, and manufacturing. To the Do-It-Yourself crowd, Arylic offers a wide range of DIY audio boards that normally can be found easily online.

The company has added the Up2Stream HD DAC to its expansive DIY portfolio. Of course, this range also can include systems integrators and developers. The Up2Stream HD DAC is a high-res wireless audio streaming board, priced at $249.00 USD. What stands out in this effort by Arylic is the fully updated design that is fully compatible with Apple’s Airplay 2 protocol, allowing users to stream audio throughout a home, from the latest macOS, iOS, or Apple TV devices. This includes being able to send one source to multiple destinations.

The board is also ready to support any type of wireless audio streaming from any source, including dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 support. For DIYers and builders that building a wireless speaker, wireless streaming device, or simply converting a traditional stereo system into an advanced multi-room streaming system is possible.

The Up2Stream HD DAC supports 24-bit/192kHz audio streaming, with the built-in ESS9038Q2M converter, it offers exceptional quality output from those sources. The sources include aptX HD streaming from Bluetooth. The DAC is particularly important because the board is ready to support Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect services. This also includes audio support for a Qobuz HD source. Arylic already provides support for Spotify, Amazon Music, Deezer, Internet Radio, iHeartRadio, Napster, and many others.

The board is supported by Arylic’s powerful 4 STREAM app for iOS and Android which offers all the source selection, and control features, plus an EQ, multiroom playback, presets, alarm clock, Wi-Fi settings, firmware updates, and much more.
