100W AC-DC Supplies Offer 80V to 264V Input Range

XP Power has introduced its FCB100 series of AC-DC power supplies. The series is certified to medical (including BF), ITE and household standards for Class I and II (no ground connection) operation. With Class B conducted and radiated emissions in both Class I & Class II configurations and supporting both convection and fan cooled applications the open frame modules are ideal for medical, home healthcare, test and measurement, broadcast, networking, communications, and other industrial equipment, says XP.

All models in the FCB100 series accept a wide operating input voltage range of 80 to 264VAC, supporting worldwide compatibility and home healthcare applications, and have a no-load power consumption of less than 0.3W. A choice of six standard output voltages is available: 12V, 15V, 19V, 24V, 36V and 48VDC.

The FCB100 series operates in ambient temperatures from -25°C to +70°C. With external forced air cooling, the units deliver 100W at up to +50°C, derating linearly to 50W at +70°C. The units can be convection-cooled for low audible noise, delivering 80/85W at up to +50°C, derating linearly to 40/45W at +70°C depending on the model. The open frame models measure 101.6mm x 50.8mm x 31.8mm (4” x 2” x 1.25”) and weigh 160g (0.35lbs). In addition, the products include overvoltage, overload, short circuit, and overtemperature protection as standard.

The input to output isolation is 4,000VAC (2 x MOPP), input to ground 1,500VAC (1 x MOPP), and output to ground 1,500VAC (1 x MOPP) combined with low leakage current for suitability in BF rated medical devices. Safety certifications include IEC/ES/EN 60601-1, IEC/UL/EN 62368-1, IEC 60950-1 and IEC 60335. The products also comply with EN55035 & & IEC 60601-1-2 ed.4 EMC standards.

The FCB100 series are available from Digi-Key, Distrelec, Farnell, Mouser, RS Components, approved regional distributors, or direct from XP Power and offer a 3-year warranty.
