Abstract:

The Blood Pressure Monitor measures the oscillations in pressure in the cuff. A sensor translates the pressure to capacitance, which is then measured by a 68HC908QT4-based circuit. The circuit also detects the small variations in pressure during deflation to calculate the systolic and diastolic readings, which it displays on a 1 × 16 LCD.
