The EC19W01 is a small, smart, highly integrated 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi system in package (SiP) module. The module is well suited for home automation and smart appliances; Wi-Fi audio speakers and headphones; wireless sensors and sensor networks; wireless monitoring (audio and video); smart appliances; health care and fitness devices; wearable devices; security, authentication, and admittance control; lighting; building/energy/industrial management/control; cloud-connected devices; remote control, data acquisition, and monitoring; and machine-to-machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) design.
The EC19W01’s features include an integrated 32-bit processor to support application customization, on-board flash and antenna, low power consumption, support for Serial-to-Wi-Fi and SPI-to-Wi-Fi, wireless transmit/receive rates of up to 20 Mbps, and a small 14-mm × 16-mm × 2.8-mm footprint.
The M-5360A is an application-ready solution for multimedia and machine-to-machine (M2M) applications. The credit card-size System on Module (SOM) is powered by a Freescale 800-MHz i.MX537 ARM Cortex A8 processor with 1-GB DDR3 RAM and 4-GB eMMC flash.
The M-5360A features two independent low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) channels for dual LCDs and one VGA port for external monitor connection. The i.MX537’s multimedia and graphic engine supports OpenGLE 2.0, OpenVG 1.1 graphics acceleration, and 1080P video decoding.
The M-5360A also provides powerful communication functionality (e.g., Ethernet, RS-232, RS-485, CAN 2.0, 1-Wire, and USB). This makes the SOM suitable for multimedia applications as well as embedded networking devices.
The M-5360A uses 128-pin 2-mm pin headers, which simplifies application board design. The SOM includes a preinstalled Ubuntu OS. Android and Windows CE are available by request. In addition to the hardware building blocks, software utility and device drivers are available for user applications.
The LEMOS-LMX-WiFi is a compact wireless transceiver that can operate on IEEE 802.11 networks. It is supported by a 32-bit microcontroller running a scalable TCP/IP stack. The transceiver is well suited for wireless embedded applications involving digital remote control, digital and analog remote monitoring, asset tracking, security systems, point of sale terminals, sensor monitoring, machine-to-machine (M2M) communication, environmental monitoring and control.
The 40.64-mm × 73.66-mm transceiver is available in two models: integrated PCB antenna or external antenna. Its features include software-selectable analog and digital I/O pins, a 2-Mbps maximum data rate, and a unique IEEE MAC address.
The LEMOS-LMX-WiFi can be powered by any 3.3-V to – 6-VDC source that can deliver 200 mA of current. The transceiver can interface to external devices that communicate via USART, I2C, and SPI. It also supports infrastructure and ad hoc networks.
