Deadline: August 31, 2012

Prizes

The following Grand Prizes will be awarded by Renesas Electronics America Inc.:

One (1) First Place Winner: $8,000 and a trip to Renesas DevCon in October valued at approximately $2500
One (1) Second Place Winner: $5,000
One (1) Third Place Winner: $3,000
Five (5) Honorable Mention Winners: $500 each

Not only will the Renesas Grand Prize winners receive share of over $18,500 in cash prizes from Renesas, but the First Place winner will receive an all expense paid trip to Renesas’s DevCon 2012 where winners will be publicly announced.

Additional Partner Prizes will also be awarded by Renesas’s Contest partners throughout the Contest. Follow Renesas on Twitter and Facebook to answer challenge questions about technology and find out how you can win these awesome prizes from Contest partners.

All cash prizes are in U.S. dollars.

Additionally, the Renesas Grand Prize winners will also automatically win certain Partner Bonus Prizes, which are from Partners as described below. Finally, the Partners will award Partner Prizes, which are described below.

Note that each company will select its prize winner separately based on their own criteria. If you win First Place with Renesas, you won’t necessarily win First Place with a Contest Partner. What this does mean is you could win prizes from multiple companies. For example, you could win a prize from Renesas, Micrium, IAR, and Total Phase. Participants are not limited to participation in Weekly Challenges but are limited to three prizes maximum.

What does this mean for you? You have choices. Review the prizes and determine which partner prizes you want to go after. Then create your design for that goal. This Contest is all about having fun, having choices, and creating really cool, energy-efficient projects!

RENESAS GRAND PRIZES: Winners of Renesas Grande Prize to be selected and prizes distributed as described below by Renesas, the Contest Sponsor, named below. Unless noted, winners of Renesas Grand Prize need not be the same winner as Partner Prize winners. All cash prizes awarded by partners in U.S. dollars. No substitutions.
